Terms & Conditions

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.

You agree to provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. One person — one account unless we approve otherwise.

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

Clients may post jobs; freelancers may apply and contract subject to platform rules, connects, subscriptions, and identity verification where required.

You will not post illegal work, harass others, circumvent payments, scrape the platform, or misuse verification or review systems.

Lucy may remove content, suspend accounts, or withhold features when these Terms or applicable law are violated.

Platform fees, commissions, escrow rules, and payout methods are disclosed during checkout, hire, or billing flows.

You authorize Lucy and its payment partners to process transactions you initiate. Disputes between users should first be resolved through platform tools; Lucy may assist but is not a party to freelance contracts unless stated otherwise.

You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant Lucy a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and distribute that content solely to operate the service.

Do not upload content that infringes others' rights or contains malware.

Lucy is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or the quality of any freelancer or client.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lucy is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the platform or user interactions.

You may stop using Lucy at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms.

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
